As a real estate agent, one of the nice things about working with first time home buyers is their enthusiasm.  That’s why I always focused on buyer leads as one of my target markets.  They are excited about owning real estate and share that excitement with many of the people around them.

That is what makes them one of the best sources for referrals in the real estate industry.  And getting leads through referrals is the golden road to real estate success.

Of all the people you come into contact with, whether they call on your advertisement or walk in off the street, you will have your greatest success with those leads that have been referred to you by someone who knows you and is happy with what you provided for them.

Referrals should be a major focus of any marketing plan.  They are easier to close and usually provide additional buyer leads themselves.

From the start of your real estate career to the end you should have a system for encouraging, collecting and handling lead referrals.
